Just a year ago, Mark had the privilege of capturing imagery for Marie and Collin at a beautiful, intimate ceremony where they said their vows in front of family and close friends not long before Collin’s deployment. A year later, they had their “I Do, Part II” — a beautiful, big ceremony and reception with all their friends and family there to celebrate their love story.
These two make one of the most effortlessly photogenic couples we’ve ever had the privilege of working with. They are so fun to be around, and they love photographs so much, they really wanted photography to be a big part of their wedding day (which is a treat for us!) They had a beautiful vow renewal ceremony with lots of smiles and laughter, and we had lots of time after the ceremony to get some wonderful imagery of just the two of them, which is often a photographer’s favorite part of the day (definitely ours!)
One especially poignant moment to look for in this imagery is when Marie’s Dad danced with her for part of the father-daughter dance, and then welcomed his son-in-law onto the floor, and gave him her hand, and then stood by and watched the two of them dance. I (Caroline of course) can’t look at this imagery without tearing it. We’d never seen this done before and it was an incredibly precious moment — full of so much meaning and emotion.
Mark also stole Marie and Collin away from their reception for just a few minutes to capture a special image under the beautiful outdoor pergola at Yankee Hall… Mark was extra-creative with the lighting and we are DELIGHTED with how beautifully those images came out.
