After she offered us jerky from a deer she’d killed herself at her engagement session, we knew Lisa was going to be a unique and wonderful bride to work with! She and Josh are a wonderfully good fit for each other and it was such a pleasure to chat about wedding ideas, look at pinterest boards, shoot bridal portraits, and get to know them both in preparation for the day we long looked forward to… THIS ONE!
Lisa and Josh’s wedding day was wonderful for so many reasons. Lisa was incredibly relaxed and just “ready to get married” while Josh was nervous in a way that was so charming and so endearing — we knew that in their own way, these were outward signs of two precious hearts so ready to say I do. We were teary-eyed when Lisa’s Dad saw her for the first time in her wedding dress. We smiled wide with the bridesmaids whose cowboy boots and beautiful sunflowers looked perfectly gorgeous paired with their lovely navy dresses. We loved all the “country” touches, including a cake like none we’ve every seen before: like so many of the decorations throughout the day it was equal parts whimsical, elegant, and fun. And while we’ve already shed a few tears looking at the beautiful memories of this wonderful day, we’re excited that our team is still working on the wedding film for Lisa and Josh…. there’s so much more of the story to be told, and we are looking forward to seeing the beauty of the day in motion!
