Of course not every thing that is worth photographing moves quickly in the Kruger. When we stopped on our final day in the park for a much needed pee-pee break I noticed the water-lilies in the water feature at the main gate at Skukuza. These guys open and close everyday and I managed to catch one in the process of opening as it was still nice and early in the morning. A little fill-in flash helped to brighten the detail in the centre of the lily. With all the layers going on here I can’t help but think of Donkey and Shrek having a conversation about onions 🙂
