Hornbills are prolific in the Kruger and I love them. They have so much character and when I see them I can’t help but think of Zazu in the Lion King! I had to shoot one of them up close to catch the detail of their plummage. So when this guy flew up onto a bare branch and practically said, “Take my picture!” I had to oblige. The Kruger can be so good for this kind of photography where you literally can drive up to some wildlife and fill the frame.
