Last week I told you the story of an amazing encounter with a herd of elephant just as we were leaving the park. Towards the end of that encounter a group of three elephants made a frantic dash across the road as if they had been spooked by something. Perhaps they had. By that point there were a number of vehicles that had stumbled upon this event and some of them found themselves in rather precarious positions amongst the breeding herd.
Anyway, these guys charged across the road in unison disappearing into the bush. I didn’t have a chance to adjust settings for the speed at which they were moving but then I believe that the blur in the photo adds rather than detracts. The symmetry is what for me, is amazing about this shot.
