Continuing on in the Scottish theme I thought that on this Wild Wednesday I would take you into the gripping realm of the Scottish Highlands in mid-Winter. Shot on film and then scanned to digital, the extra grain in this photo is what, for me, creates that extra little bit of atmosphere.
Converting to black and white make it an image I can stare at for ages and get lost in the feeling of being right there with the Scottish wind trying to blow me off my feet and the grauplel stinging my cheeks. It was on days like this when you’ve been out in horizontal snow and the world has been blowing a hoolie that a warm beer next to a roaring fire in a rough climbers pub sounds like heaven on this earth! Today I am thankful for these memories made with dear friends in my other country – Scotland!
